A NELSON couple have hit out at a lack of consistency in the level of care received from Blackburn Royal Hospital's Accident and Emergency department.

Gordon Birtwistle with campaigners
Burnley Council leader Gordon Birtwistle will walk from Burnley General Hospital to Royal Blackburn Hospital tomorrow, Wednesday 1st October, to present a petition signed by the public.

This follows the Hospitals Trust's decision to move a range of services from Burnley to Blackburn, resulting in overstretch at the Blackburn hospital.
